Manchester United reach agreement with Premier League club for striker transfer

MANCHESTER UNITED have finally reached a £1million agreement with West Ham for the transfer of Ashley Fletcher.

By Liam Spence

Fletcher, 21, joined West Ham last summer from Manchester United on a four-year deal.

But United and the Hammers failed to strike a deal over a transfer fee.

However, the Sun on Sunday claim the Premier League pair have now agreed a deal with West Ham paying United £1m for his services.

The report adds United will receive an additional £1m if Fletcher meets an appearance clause that has been inserted into his contract.

Fletcher scored his first and only goal so far for West Ham against his former club in a 4-1 EFL Cup defeat at Old Trafford in November.

The England Under-20 international has made 17 appearances for West Ham in all competitions this season and is contracted to the club until 2020.

Jack Wilshere wanted by West Ham as Hammers plot summer transfer to take him from Arsenal

The on-loan Bournemouth star tops Hammers hitlist of transfer targets

Exclusive By Justin Allen

The Gunners midfielder – currently on loan at Bournemouth – is top of the Hammers hitlist and they are prepared to spend around £30million to land their man.

Wilshere, 25, is out of contract at the end of next season and has been offered a new deal by Arsene Wenger.

But the England ace is not convinced he will get enough game time at the Emirates and is weighing up the idea of leaving the club.

West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold are desperate to land a marquee signing and a top playmaker after losing Dimitri Payet to Marseille in January.

A source told SunSport: “West Ham want Jack and have put feelers out – which haven’t been rejected.

Arsenal's Calum Chambers on the transfer radars of West Ham, Everton and Newcastle

A string of clubs are willing to pay £10m-plus for the 22-year-old defender impressing on a season's loan at Middlesbrough

By Neil Moxley

West Ham and promotion-bound Newcastle will rival Everton for Calum Chambers.

Former Southampton defender Chambers, who can play full-back, centre-half or as a holding midfielder, has impressed during a loan spell with Middlesbrough this season.

Arsenal already have a host of teams ready to pay over £10m for the 22-year-old.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman sold Chambers when he was Saints boss - although he never actually had chance to work with the player – but he is now interested in taking him to Goodison.

However, West Ham and Championship leaders Newcastle have also both informed the Gunners of their interest.

All three clubs have intimated a willingness to take Chambers on-loan if a permanent move is not an option.

* WEST HAM are ready to make a renewed bid to bring Anthony Modeste back from Germany. The ex-Blackburn frontman is the second-top scorer in Europe this season with 22 goals for Cologne.

West Ham United Linked With A Move For This Polish Ace: Can He Bring An End To Their Striking Woes?

Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United are one of the many teams in the Premier League that are looking for attacking additions this summer. The manager has been looking at the likes of Lucas Perez and Michy Batshuayi for a move recently but one player who is now linked extensively with a move to London this summer is Anderlecht striker Lukasz Teodorczyk. The 25-year old is one of the top goal scorers in Europe in the domestic leagues and is also wanted by Liverpool. Here is why he could be a fantastic option for West Ham United.

Bilic’s summer signings Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza have both failed to have any kind of an impact at the club and Diafra Sakho picked up an unfortunate injury which will see him start the next season from the scratch. Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll have both been in decent form but West Ham need a replacement for the latter and Teodorczyk is possibly the best option at the moment for the manager.

Known for his exceptional finishing abilities, the 25-year old is a target man in every sense. He can score goals of different kinds, from different ranges and angles and is a star in the making. He has been in terrific form in the Belgian domestic league, scoring 20 goals and picking up four assists already this season.

He also has seven goals in the Europa League this season and is a danger man for Manchester United when they take on Anderlecht in the Round of 16 of the Europe League this season.

Tall, strong and athletic, Teodorczyk is one of the strongest players in the air in the Europa League this season and with his best years still ahead of him, West Ham United should not delay in luring him to the Olympic Stadium this summer.

21-year old Ashley Fletcher may have a future at the club but not anytime soon, and Bilic is growing desperate for a striker this summer.

The Hammers wanted to sign the 25-year old even in January but failed to agree on a fee with the Belgian outfit. However, with Teodorczyk’s deal in Belgium coming to an end this summer, he will be available for free and will attract a lot of interest.

But he suits the style of play at the Olympic Stadium well and might be tempted with the guarantee of regular football in England. He is also an established international with more than 10 senior appearances for the Polish national side, and surely, West Ham can do with his experience next season, where they are expected to fight for a place in Europe. Teodorczyk’s attributes can go a long way in securing it. Do you think the Anderlecht man is the right choice for West Ham this summer?

Dunno what the 4th Official man is on about.

Teodorczyk has just signed a deal with Anderlecht till 2020. The Belgians have presumably activated a right of first refusal clause in their loan deal with the player's previous employers Dynamo Kiev. The transfer fee was 5 million euro.

We could lay claim soon to actually having the best starting 11 in the League that never actually plays due to injury!!!

Re: Sunday newspapers (includes West Ham)
A club with a terrible injury record (ie, us) should be going nowhere near a player like Wilshere.

Yes, we need a decent ball playing centre midfielder - but one that is able to play more than 10 games would be nice.
